At a press conference today, executives from HTC, T-Mobile, Google unveiled the G1. The press conference started off with CTO of T-Mobile talking about the open platform and how it is future-proof, "T-Mobile G1 is a milestone".


Next came Peter Chow of HTC, speaking on the design and how the device will forge mobile broadband, "This will transform how and where people can use the internet".

Different features and apps were displayed which included the rumored Amazon MP3 service and Android Market. Next was Q/A session where some interesting questions came up about tethering and Chrome (Chrome Lite that is).

G1 can be yours for $179 from 22nd Oct. If your in UK, G1 will come this November and early next year in rest of Europe. The plans released are $25 with unlimited data and some messaging, $35 with unlimited data and messaging.<!--live_update:10:58:07AM-->

Its okay, but it doesn't look that good, Android would be the reason to get it though! :)
