Android is getting pretty hot in China. Chinese phone manufacturers Dopod and TechFaith Wireless have announced launch of Android phones early next year.
TechFaith Wireless is one of the biggest handset solutions provider in China who sell their design to other branded manufacturers like LG, Motorola etc.
They announced in 2007 that they were working closely with Google on Android and in a recent press release said the product is close to release.
Dopod was partly acquired by HTC in 2006 so no surprises on their ambitions. While TechFaith have come up with their own design, Dopod will be bringing out Chinese version of G1.
