So, I currently have an iPhone and I love its huge screen and easy to use UI, but 2 things stink about it: 1) no 3G 2) no GPS.

Both of these features would make geocaching awesome! So as apps are being developed I'd like to see an app made for geocachers using android on a 3G, GPS, big screen, touch screen phone.

Things definitely need to be able to handle:
1) use the gps to get to the cache (turn by turn navigation to get to the closest parking and then a compass to get us within the usual 10 ft or so)
2) view cache details (not just on the web, but offline as well); essentially this is a request to handle gpx files
3) log the cache easily or at leas be able to save notes to upload to web (don't want to rewrite logs)
4) talk to GSAK (geocaching swiss army knife) program to transfer data, etc.
5) download gpx files from the web to be able to cache on the fly!

I know google has released videos that show geocaches on their maps, I just would like to see it better developed to handle all geocaching needs. Cachemates is a program out for windows mobile that would give you some idea, but the interface and other features needs to be greatly improved.
