Alright... went down to the T-Mobile store today on Dale Mabry and Fletcher, and they had over 20 G1's left at 1PM. I picked up 2 blacks and a brown, and here's the images from the brown.
The box.

Then you open it up... to another box. :D

Included in the box was a charger, of the mini-usb flavor, a USB data cable, a rather ugly case, your typical stereo headset, and some manuals.
Once initially turned on (you get the battery cover off by opening the screen and pulling up and off on the battery cover tab near the q side of the keyboard), you're greeted with the "Welcome to T-Mobile G1" screen.

The G1 uses a GMail account to sync all your contacts, email, etc. Before you even can use the phone you'll have to sign in to an account.

Then you're welcomed by the Android home screen.

Some more shots of the hardware:

We'll have a more full review up soon, once we've had a chance to play with it a bit. Next stop - make this thing look like whatever we want. :D
