Dear all,
gPhone is no doubt revolutionary. But don't skip the Hardware part. I think gPhone should have
1> Dual SIM card option
2> Should have incoming call firewall ( generally known as blacklisted numbers)
3> Inbuilt FM/TV as well as live recorder
4> Must have the capacity to hold a high capacity MicroSD card
At the software end everyone must like to have the capability to modify the software of the phone :-)
I like to give a link of a phone model which might encourage the gPhone developers.

with my best wishes to gPhone developers

No Gphone, but Google Announces Mobile Platform.
So disappointed!

As I have mentioned earlier that these are hardware related issue :-) There must be a TV chip in the phone like the link I have mentioned. And Andrian OS should be able to communicate with it. Just focusing on the OS itself can't bring the dream phone to us; we need the latest Hardware. So I repeat that PLEASE focus on the Hardware to.

A DTTV chip? A pure terrestrial receiver you mean?

May be. I have no in-depth idea on it. Please have a look at

1> Dual SIM card option
I'm sure at least one of the GPhone models that are released will have this
2> Should have incoming call firewall ( generally known as blacklisted numbers)
This is not really hardware. It's pretty much only on the application side but it would be pretty easy to do once Google releases more docs
3> Inbuilt FM/TV as well as live recorder
Again, would depend on the model. Would probably not be very practical since it will take a lot of juice to do this. You're better off getting a DVR if you would be interested in an application like this
4> Must have the capacity to hold a high capacity MicroSD card
Although the models have not yet been announced, I don't see why not

Why so ? can't a dedicated chip do the same ?

As I said, it depends on the model, whether the manufacturer chooses to implement it or not. Keep in mind companies like Motorola and HTC will be making the handsets, Google just made the OS. It probably wouldn't be a good feature though because it would be a big battery life drainer.
