Is there a way to extract the theme?

I need to get the default theme out of the phone so I can see the format an create new themes for our G1. Another problem I see is if I create the theme how would I install them any ideas?

So far we don't have access to the system files though - so that's a no go yet.

File mamager app let me see the phones files before the last updated version,but I could not find the theme any place ill wait to see what happens. Thanks for the feed back
