Help, I Looked

Just got an unlocked G1 and excited to be on it, I am an att customer however when I placed my sim card in it worked fine for making calls but I have no internet access or contacts. has anyone run into this, I try in impost my sim contacts and it tells me there are none, for the internet I tried to set up my yahoo mail and had no luck I am unable to search anything on the internet.

any help or point me in the right direction sorry if wrong place I looked but I have no idea where to look.

what APN settings did u enter to activate the phone ?
