WiFi and EDGE/3G ?

When I enable WiFi, the 3G icon turns off -- does the phone stay connected to the EDGE/3G network when WiFi is enabled ?

no i disconnects from edge portion you are still able to send receive sms and mms and phone calls but it gives you a more direct access to the internet
