Exclamation Connecting to 3G and Edge WITHOUT APN??

Hi!
Yesterday I updated the sw on my G1 Dev phone.

Prior to updating, (on firmware 1.0) I could disable GPRS and 3G by removing the APN setting in "Mobile Network Settings".

Now after upgrading with JFv 1.41 ADP1.1, I can't disable Edge or 3G!! (I can switch from 3G to 2G in the powersaving mode). I have deleted EVERY last APN in the list, but still the phone connects (and transfers data) both over 3G and Edge. I am in Norway on Netcom network.

When upgrading the phone, I wiped it, and was asked to register/login to my Google account again. This I could not do until I gave the APN for my service provider. Now that APN is deleted, but still the phone connects via 3G and Edge. What settings is it using, and where the h#""%ll are they located?

Any suggestions?

Regards, Tom

EDIT:
It all worked out when rebooting into recovery mode (Home+Power) and wiping my data (Alt+W). When starting up again from scratch, I used WiFi instead of APN to connect to Google. No sudden unwanted 3G/Edge connections now.
