android maps app

Hi

I just recently obtained a g1. i'm an iPhone user as well. I really like my android phone except that the maps app seems to be outdated compared to the iphone's.

I was just wondering if there's a way to save locations (bookmark them?) so that i dont have to retype them everytime i want directions.

download the my maps editor from the marketplace. Allows you to view and share maps from your google account. You might also like the my tracks app that can record your running/cycling/driving route and upload it to google maps as well

You can also add location data to your contacts you you can get directions to any contact from your current location.
