Sciphone from China brings out Dream G2 - (Video added)
Chinese phone manufacturer Sciphone will be releasing their "Dream G2" loaded with a modified version of Android on Nov.28
From the looks it appears that the UI is pretty much the same, although some stock apps have been replaced with custom Messaging, Media and Google Mobile apps. It also supports Java MIDP 2.0 apps.
On the hardware side, it has a 2.8", 320x240 res, 262K TFT screen, EDGE(no 3G), 4 MP camera with auto-focus, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, AVRCP support and FM radio.

- Bands/ Modes: GSM850/1800/1900MHz or GSM900/1800/1900MHz, GPRS/EDGE
- Size: 56 x 107.2 x 11.8mm
- Weight: 110 g

...and how do they enter information into the thing? does it have an on-screen keyboard?

maybe i'm missing it but to me it doesn't look like this thing has a keyboard. how is that going to work exactly since there isn't a fully functioning onscreen keyboard app available yet.

T-Mobile's Android(thats on G1) doesn't have an onscreen keyboard, may be this Android version has it.

there is a v.keyboard app.. but not one that works with the RC30 .. so maybe they are running one of the earlier version.. which im curious as to how that would play out with google updating automatically..
that would be a bum deal if so.. lol

this phone won't support the OTA updates. Sciphone will have to modify them kinda like we do.

The G1 to me looks alot better i never did think the G1 was ugly like people say it is. Ill stick with my G1 till wheels fall off. oh it doesnt have wheels till the track ball falls off lol...
